Hubby had been feeling lethargic lately. I think it is because lately he hasn’t been eating well and he had also skipped his supplements that he takes everyday, without fail. He says that he need to get into a fitness regimen too and perhaps get the best multivitamins to keep his health at optimum stage. I agree but I am sure this also mean we have to cut down on our favourite foods like steak, seafood and all that sinful stuff.. If for health, I guess this is a sacrifice we have to follow through. Of course I will miiss my favourite Chilly Crab stall.. maybe we can still have it once a month..
If only I can take them… the multivit he currently takes is not something my body can adhere to. It gives me a very bad tummy ache and some constipation…

I borrowed this book in October, middle of it. It’s been more than a month. I had renewed this once and that is the max one can renew a book. So I decided to return it yesterday. It was a nice read although I had only started two chapters of it. I had been so busy, ploughed with work day in and out. So I had no spare time to read. When I pop by to drop the library books back into the book drop, I felt a tinge of regret. Half hour later, after browsing the other sections, I went to check if the book was back on the shelves by the librarians. And Yes! So what happened now… I borrowed again… LOL And I must make sure I read them within a month’s grace…

Every business need a catalyst in order to progress. Advertising is one of it. Our business is growing, progressing but somehow I think we need to push it a little further. My partner insists that we should print some mailers or advertise in the local papers or television. I protested television because it will definitely break our budget.. And newspapers aren’t that cheap either. A small ad costs about almost $500 when I called to enquire last week.. and it is only for a one time display.. If one were to pick weekends, the cost for this ad will not be the same. I am now thinking of printing those little mailers, that can be distributed to homes, handed out or even place them on car windscreens, which I get most of the time when I park my car at a public carpark. Wouldn’t that yield some advert results and exposure? I am really keen to try it out so I guess I should start looking for those printing company that does direct mail printing for small and medium sized businesses. Have not done this before but I guess I can start at the yellow pages or just do a search for a local printer? Guess I’d also made up my mind, eh.

I need to tie my hands up soon! I made a mistake unconsciously picking at my pimple the other day. And with that, I got my punishment! A large hole at the side of my face, my cheek actually. It weeped for a day.. had a scab and although it is now dried, I worry about the effects and how it will not heal properly.. I tried to drink lots of water to make sure that my body is cleansed of toxins so that the scar will heal better. I even thought of Vitamin E cream but I am sure the sticky cream on my face will just make it worst. If this gets worst, I may have to look for a professional facial consultant or perhaps look for an effective acne scar removal cream or lotion. How am I going to go for all those goody parties looking like that… No scar cream can hide this horrible thing… sigh

So, there will be lots of dinner parties soon. It is the time of the year where companies hold their dinner and dance, company having dinner with their staffs and many friends holding parties to mark the end of the year.. Oh don’t forget that many Christmas parties and New Year ones after that.. Enough to burst my already big fat pants, skirts, dresses, whatever garment I have in the closet! Will I need to go on diet or should I just get those useful capsule stuffs that does what it does best - small print says, suppress appetite and complement ones diet program.. something I should consider before I start gorging on those beautiful, yummy, looking platters of food!
Otherwise, I better buy everything one size larger! Ha Ha Ha..

I have to admit it. I love the smell of cigars!.. But I certainly do not like cigarettes at all. Cigars smell yummy, I do not know what they put in there, but a friend told me it is somewhat an acquired smell, so does that mean I have acquired a likeness for cigars? It made me think of warm wood, coffee and fireplace and nice warm comfort days in an old cabin, while the wind is howling outside in a blizzard… Okay, okay I am too imaginative but I really like to be near someone when he starts to puff on his cigars. And I have not had a whiff of the cao cigars a friend bought recently while on a holiday trip abroad. He told me that he bought those for some special moments… wow. I hope I get to share it with him.. What does one do with an unfinished cigar, I wonder…

A friend I met works in the employment sector. As a matter of fact, he owns the business. Used to be someone working in the food and beverage industry, he discovered that there is always a shortage of staffing in hotels and other food establishments. With this, he switched line, and moved into hiring of people to work in all kinds of industry. It was later on that he started to specialized into the hiring of people for jobs in health care. Why? This is because in Singapore, we have a major shortage of nurses and all kinds of healthcare personnels. From hospital technicians to trained care-givers, not many locals find such job interesting, and for those who did, decidedly to take off to other countries to work in their health care industry. But this industry is booming because the proportion of aging people in Singapore is increasing. We need people to take care of our sickly, handicapped, aged, and those in need of care while recuperating. This is an industry looks set to boom, including medicines because prices are ever increasing and all medical consultation is not really getting any cheaper. If I were younger, I might just have trained to be a nurse but alas, I have a fear for blood! If you are brave, this is a very honourable job! Do not shun it.

It is going to be the end of the year soon. Already entering November, the weather is getting wet. Rain has been pouring and some days after a shower, the sun comes peeking out and it feels nice. There has been days when it rained so hard and the weather gets a bit chilly. Not cold as in those countries with 4 seasons, but cool enough to keep me busy looking for my collection of cardigan sweaters I have stuffed somewhere. I like to buy all sorts of colourful cardigans when I was working in the office because the air conditioning is always below comfort. And also they just look great matching over all your tops.

Oh with all that colourful stuff I have, sometimes it would be nice if our raindrops come down in rainbow colours too, right? Just like this graphics I post in this post… Lovely!

My niece and nephew are avid concert goers. They like pop culture and they would queue up for hours just to get tickets to their favourite pop group that may be performing live in a concert. My sister do not usually let them have their way all the time except concerts when it is during the school vacations or there is a long weekend. They actually raised their eyebrows when I told them I might want to get some Branson tickets for my next holiday plan. Well, very quickly, I told them NOPE, this is not a pop group nor any musical artiste I was hankering about.. I told them that it was at a well known place of vacations, Branson which is located in Ozark Mountains. It is about the beautiful lakes, outdoor recreation and of course it also has a place for live entertainment, an ideal location just as well for those who are musically inclined. Perhaps you should google Branson to see what I meant.

It is already November.. Time really flies.. and before you know it, it will be 2011 soon. But of course nothing goes by before having a fabulous Christmas first.. Do you all still send Christmas Cards to friends and family? I know we should be going green and try to use less paper but Christmas is really not much fun without all the traditional Christmas Cards. Online cards are not my favourite and please do not blame me if I don’t open them up cos sometimes I get the feeling they could be virus in disguise as online Christmas cards and wishes! But of course we can always save the earth by using recycled Christmas cards instead of buying new ones. Cut up your old ones (the cover) and paste them like a scrapbook card and send them to your friends.. more personal too. Or if you have budget, buy Christmas cards made of recycled paper! They do not promote so much cutting of trees.
Meanwhile, done your Christmas shopping yet?
