In my days, there is no such thing as Baby Bonus. Baby Bonus is a special amount of money given by the government to encourage young couples to start a family and a bigger one at it. In the olden days, to prevent from being over-populated, we had Stop at Two campaign. But now, we are being encouraged to have more than 2 children. Even there is an increase of double baby stroller that is promoted widely for sale to those who may have twins or kids closer to each other’s age gap. This means one does not need to have two persons pushing the strollers or prams as the strollers have double seats on them. They do not really take up a lot of space as these products fold really well and compact in the car boot. But most interesting thing is that many adults like to stop and stoop to see how cute pushing two children can be..

I gasped when I saw a teenager wearing a t-shirt bearing the F word. Yes, I did. I’m a goody two shoes kinda mom. But my daughter thought nothing of it…
Me - Born to a family of staunch Buddhists, I must say we always have to watch what we say, and what we do. It is about table manners, bedside manners and whatever mannerism one practises in our family. Call your elders, wish them every morning, and during dinner time table manners and politeness is very much an important asset. But my daughter, she don’t mind shopping from sites full of humour, ok not mild jokes or funnies but Foulmouthshirts funny tee shirts is her cup of tea.. I’m trying not to show too much exclaimation actually…lol but moms will always be moms to their children, no matter how adult they may be..

My daughter told me she lost 3 kg recently. Just by not doing anything about it. She weighed herself and saw the weight difference and gave out a shout in triumph! Oh and I thought it was so difficult to lose weight. I have no idea how she does it and definitely everyone wants to learn more about how to lose weight effectively, without having to do anything!
“I think it is exam stress”, quips Rhonda…
“Oh, so does that mean we all have to be under stress to lose weight?”, her bestfriend responded.. “But during our exams, I seemed to eat more…” she continued…
I’m baffled, actually… maybe it works differently for different people… Don’t you think so? Of course, I wouldn’t mind losing some weight myself… but, with all that worrying and stress, I think I’ll take a back seat and let nature takes it’s course..

I play the piano and I enjoy it tremendously. My daughter played it but gave up when she find it a little demanding of her time since she had so much to do for school. Last week, she told me that she was going to pick up a guitar at the music store at the mall. She wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Oh I remember that I used to learn guitar but it was a short stint. I lost interest in it because I am a left hander and the music teacher didn’t see any importance for me to restring my guitar and let me learn it as a left hander. I was adamant about it and I even went shopping for a pedaltrain guitar and had asked if they coud get the guitar restring for me… But like other stuff, I soon also lost interest in it…Perhaps I wouldn’t if I had a friend who shared the same interest…

Okay, so this is going to be something interesting. I am a coffee fanatic. I can drink coffee anytime in the day, in the night without any fear that I cannot get to sleep or feel fidgety drinking it. It does nothing to my heart and my hands if they do tremble, I’m sure is not from coffee overload because I do have a nerve problem in my left hand.
When Spypapa and I goes for any kind of holiday, he’d love to sit in the hotel room and enjoy a smoke of Cigars. Wonderful brands are nice smelling but why don’t they invent flavored cigars that come in flavours like Cappucino or Mochas or in my favourite nice smelling Vanilla! And I’d be the first woman to take up cigar as a relaxing hobby… hahahaha but they do need to make these cigars a little thin, more feminine and sexy looking…

I made a trip to visit an old friend at the hospital last week. She is recovering from a bypass surgery. As I stood by her bedside talking to her, I can’t help admiring all the gifts she received and had placed like a row of plants at the side of the bed. There were flowers, hampers, gift bags, little baskets of fruits and more flowers… so many variety of gifts just like you would see when you shop online for get well soon gift baskets for a dear friend. I was really tempted to ask if I could buy them off her… especially the basket that had a nice little Care Bear inside…Okay, I have to stop this ridiculous idea… but I wished I had take a snapshot of that and show you here….

When I was getting married decades ago, I insisted that I wanted to get the couple Platinum rings. My mom objected to it in a very obvious way. Well, an old fashioned lady she is and now that I am in my silver years, I understand perfectly why, Gold is much much better than Silver or Platinum. Simple and easy, Gold appreciates whereas Silver and anything that is white (including Diamonds) are rendered worthless or worth less in value. If you look at the rate of Gold now, you’ll be surprised how many times over Gold had appreciate. Although I hardly or detest going to the Jewelry Shop, I really don’t mind googling if I can buy gold online instead. I’m sure there is a certain guarantee of quality that stands. Have you done it before?

I was invited to an old girls’ gathering recently. It was held at one of the girls’ home, who incidentally was our head prefect at our graduation year. Her house was done in a simple way, with minimalistic features and lovely contemporary upholstery fabric that matches the chosen colour scheme. For dinner, we had Korean cuisine, cooked by my friend. Yummy Beef Bulgogi and the Kimchi was also home made too. I had such a wonderful time that I forgot about the time. We all forgot, as a matter of fact. But it was very nice, chatting over old times, school, teachers and the funny thing was, we all started to compare grey hair instead… Hilarious!
I hope we get to meet a little more frequent. It is certainly a much awaited meet up. A really nice dinner gathering.

Secrets are always mysterious. Be it something you keep or something you share with a friend. It’s something we all want to know and the deeper one hides another gets more curious about it. Songs have been sung about it and articles and stories have been written about deep dark secrets that are signed anonymous by the writers and some bloggers. The whole idea about it is that it is a choice not to open it up to people save for a few or just one selected.
Few types of secrets women are gavitating to, are secrets of beauty to keep women’s skin always youthful. And believe me, commercial beauty products are one of women’s best kept secrets. Women who knows where to get them may not want to share them because it is their wonderful secret and they do not want competition at all. However if you actually scour around the internet, you might find a site that actually carries skin care and many beauty products from around the world that are of highest quality. Saves a lot of trouble shopping in your aching sole and you can get your secret eb5 products delivered right up to your doorstep! I haven’t tried them but I heard that it is good. It is a 100 year old traditional beauty product, just like the organic rice powder granny used to encourage us to use when I was very young. Oh well, no harm trying, right? I like the fact that they don’t do animal testing. Bless them!

Lately, whenever I step out of bed in the morning, I get really bad sharp pain on my feet. I just do not know what is wrong. A friend of mine suggested that I should see the doc for a body checkup. She told me that it could be due to cholesterol levels. I guess our body always tells us some part of our body is wrong by sending signals of pain of some sort… Another friend said perhaps it could be due to my late nights and I do agree I did not get as much sleep lately. Now before I go to sleep, to keep my feet and ankle warm, I put on my yoga socks after a good rub of ointment. It does help but I still get some pain when I start walking in my mornings. I wonder if I should also get a detail look at my shoes…
