It’s Scorching Hot

Posted by spymama on Jan-11-2012

Lunar New Year is always hot. Scorching hot. Why is that so.. i always thought it’s Spring time so the weather has got to be just nice breezy but not hot. But every year, as usual it is so hot. Our new clothes cling on to our sweaty body and it doesn’t do much justice to do up your make up so nice when you face look like its melting..

But really, I prefer to put on my persol sunglasses and hide in the shade most of the time. And just sip on a can of cool Sarsi, my favourite. Or just stay at home.. But being the usual CNY we always visit our relatives (eldest first) and battle these terrifying weather in our heel biting new shoes. It’s always the same. It’s traditional so better go stock up all that extra plasters out there, instead of just ang pow packets. Need I say more.

Upgrades that goes on and on

I thought I read about the 4g network recently. I have no idea what does this mean to all of us.. or the rest of us who don’t own smartphones. I have an iphone 3g now so if the network is upgraded to 4g does that mean that my iphone needs to be changed since it only uses the 3g sim card? And what about if the phones only supports 3g? These are relatively new to me. Does that mean if I get a 4g sim card one day in future, I will not be able to use my older phones that supports 3g?  What happens when we lose our 4g phone, that means we cant use a backup phone anymore because of all these 3g or 4g and what comes next? All in all, I guess we are seeing more costs and expenditure going up. I am happy with 3g, and I hope whatever change that’s coming, do think about people who can catch up all the time with gadgets. I remember when I had to pay to change my 3g Sim to a smaller one for my iphone. And since then, I didn’t get to use my other mobile phones that has a bigger Sim card afterwards… I’m the type who likes to change my mobile every now and then to go with my mood.. and I hope one day someone will just invent these multiple slots that takes in anytype of Sim cards.
