Looks like the end of the year is fast approaching, eh. We will have Halloween, followed by Christmas and New Year. That means there will be lots of Party everywhere. And lots of presents to give and receive. How exciting. But how and what shall I get for friends? I would really like to give them a personalized gift but can’t quite decide what.. Perhaps I can find a website that lets me design, order and buy custom t-shirts for each of them at a reasonable price and sent to their home address. But postage may be quite expensive so perhaps on postage to my home before distributing to each of them via local mail? I can see the messages on each T Shirts already! I wonder if I can also make my own customized wrapper? My printer can’t print a large sheet and I don’t want to join them up before wrapping..

I’ve been meaning to bring my girls out for a shopping weekend. It would be an exciting day, buying all the girls’ item and having tea and chatting about girls’ stuff. For them, I’m sure. I know they’ve been asking to drop by the new store in town that sells all the blink-blinks and I know they really want to select some lovely gemstone beads to be sewed into their piece of handicraft work done at a workshop recently. Well, as long as they aren’t the expensive ones, I’m sure we should be able to pick some nice ones. Perhaps I should also pick some tiny ones to be sewed on to my shawl which is just a plain midnight blue. Some crystal would be a nice touch and lends a nice shimmering to the otherwise plain piece of shawl. And it would be good complement for a wedding dinner gear!

There is nothing I like best than to spend time at home, with a cup of Latte and reading the newspapers or a magazine. And what tops it all is also listening to my favourite artistse crooning in the background on a good set of stereo speakers. Now that I am using an iPhone, it is really a simple thing to hook up your iPhone collection of audio songs to a good pair of audio systems that has a docking system for the iPhone. Not only can you listen to your favourite tunes, you also get to charge your iPhone as well. Not bad at all, technology that is getting so advanced. I do not need to lug around heavy CDs from my collections at all. Don’t you agree?

Ok. So the Lantern festival is already over. But not the month, though. In lunar Chinese calendar, everything is about a month old. So, even though you may have kept your lanterns and eaten your mooncakes, the festival month is still in progress. Eat those remainder mooncakes and carry your lantern still. There’s no harm…

In fact, if our lantern festival were to fall into the end of October, that means we’d be also celebrating the Halloween month too. And can you imagine all the lanterns that are carried everywhere across the globe? It would be so much fun, serving mooncakes in pumpkins, and carrying carved out halloween lanterns too. And there would be lots of trick or treats and lots of treats of cute mooncakes in baskets as part of your treats too…. What a global phenomenon it will be, bring different cultures in one.

Spypapa got us a new TV. Not just any TV, but a Smart TV. The sales person at the electronic store said that we can watch our favourite videos that has been uploaded onto our YouTube channel for our family and we can even download from YouTube other shared videos to watch if we want to. How cool, right? That means we have a video without playing our dvd now. And we can share them with our friends if they have their own smart tv too. I heard that in the US, they already have this not too long ago, except that they don’t call it smart tv, but internet tv. Do you have one already? I wonder if this means I can play games since I can also log into my facebook account! Extra Cool this one! One thing, though… they do not have a keyboard so I either need to use the remote control that comes with the TV or download the apps via iPhone… sigh

A year ago, I decided to end few of my life insurance and redeem them since I am growing older. I felt that it is time for me to enjoy life and not wait for it to mature since I am now still able. At that time, the market was kind of unstable and I worried about the low earnings since it was tied to some investment products. These days, however, I got myself thinking about those insurance that are not held for longer term but a shorter one. Perhaps I should now browze the market to get some good term life insurance quotes and see if I can reap something with what little savings I can. Otherwise, I should just keep it liquidated in case I need some cash flow.

I walked past a row of shophouses in the west area. What a gem of a find, there is a little cake shop. This cake shop is not the usual confectionary cake shop you see in most heartlands. This one, although modest seems to be a popular one that is patronized by many Mediacorp Artistes for their celebrity weddings and celebrity full month celebration of their newborn! They have lovely designs and very innovative gift packs. I know, I am too old for a newborn child and I am certainly not in the loop to get married since I’ve had Spypapa, of course. But how about getting nice little cakes for a festive season like Mini X’mas Cakes? Wouldn’t that be nice? I wonder if it is still too early to have them design some x’mas themed cakes…
