Durians and All Other Stuffs

Posted by spymama on Jun-22-2011

The weather is getting erratic. This is June, the month where the hottest day falls on 21st in the month, in the whole year. And this is the month whereby Durians are a dime in the dozen! Yummy… I can’t wait to buy my durians at the nearby market.. I am soooo longing for them. And I wonder if after a meal of those yummy creamy thorny fruit, can I take ice cream? There are myths about how Durians should never mix with Alcohol, lest it will become something lethal.. very much like how you should never drink Coke after eating a mentos… so anyone knows if ice creams and durians mix?

Oh they do have Durian Ice Creams do they? They it should be ok…

I have Big Giant Thumbs

Posted by spymama on Jun-22-2011

Ever since I got my new iPhone 4 in that beautiful chasty looking white, I have been addicted to games. Now I do understand why people of all ages just cannot tear themselves away from their PS1, 2 and 3. The only thing that looks challenging to me is the way they press on them.. I’d have wish for a larger ps3 keyboard, because even in my iPhone, I have trouble trying to type my text messages already! Do you all feel like you have suddenly grown giant thumbs when you text messages on it? Now when my niece and nephew pops by, I would go close and watch what they are playing on their ps devices! How about the new Sony mobile thingy… one that they say is similar to having a PS gaming on the mobile? Any reviews so far?

Fathers Do Deserve Them Too

How was Father’s Day, everyone? Did you all celebrate it with zest? Mother’s Day is very popular and moms are bombarded with flowers, cakes, jewellery, all things beautiful, sparkly and colourful. But does it do justice to Father’s Day? I’m sure many of you would baulk at the idea of any kind of Chocolate Gift ideas for Men for Father’s Day. But frankly, there are creative ideas that does not mean men cannot receive chocolates. Chocolates do come in many shapes and sizes, and many novelties. Try looking around, you’ll be surprised! And if you have no confidence, try giving them to your male friends, colleagues or any male acquaintances for Christmas! It’ll be fun, really!

Citizens’ Benefits

Posted by spymama on Jun-22-2011

I really applaud some countries like Singapore and the United States for the way they extend help towards their people. Singapore has the CPF whereby one can draw the amount to be used for housing, education and best of all, medical benefits. In the US, they have something called the social security disability which extends medical benefits to the less fortunate. In Malaysia, I have not really read nor knowledgable in their citizenship benefits but sometimes I wonder if they have a One Malaysia benefit for everyone, which is the same? If not wrong, countries like Nederlands and other European countries have similar benefits for the people.

The Wrist and The Mouse

Posted by spymama on Jun-13-2011

I woke up with a sore and aching lower back last week. The following day, I couldn’t lift my right arm. I think I know why, I had been on the computer for too long, and sitting on an unsuitable chair. My back aches because there is no proper support for my back and using the mouse where my table is elevated higher than the normal caused stress to my arm. My mom told me that if I don’t change the level of the table to a suitable one plus a proper office chair with back support, I might end up injuring my back and also risk getting carpal tunnel syndrome. Even though I had rubbed on some ointment on my wrist, I think I should be better off checking out the shop that sells lots of joint support merchandise just like those wrist braces that most sports activist uses. Such shop sells most braces for all different parts of our body. I remember my friend wore one of the braces after getting an injury while playing tennis. Perhaps I should look at them now, what with the Great Singapore Sale on, it should be a good bu

Unwarranted

A friend of mine complain to me about a recent break in at her home. She lives in a terrace home and her back door was forced open and she had some valuables and money stolen. She just couldn’t believe such a thing can happen to her and fixed a cctv and alarm system immediately the following days. But her backyard is rather dim so this weekend, she asks me to go shop with her to get some proper outdoor lighting to brighten up the back door so that no one lurks behind the house and not get seen. I hope this will deter any unwarranted visitors as well since bright lights are a great idea. Maybe I should go shop for some bright lights too. I wonder if they all come with energy saving bulbs since we should be saving energy and cut down on electrical usage..
