This evening, I stood at the shelter waiting for my partner to pick me up. It was raining like cats and dogs and the wind was one of the worst, ever. It howled as if you are in the middle of a storm. The wind blew my umbrella till it flipped up. It made me feel like I was in a refrigerator, wet and cold. What made it worst, the rain blew at angles so any kind of umbrella would only help to keep only your head dry. I had wished I stayed in bed tucked cosily under an electric blanket or have a nice hot chocolate with melty marshmallows inside. Because of the strong wind, I felt as if my hair was also damp from the rain so had no choice but decided to wash my hair even thought it was already half past 10!

My workplace sometimes get this power outage in the early evening. Lucky thing the sun has not set yet or else it will be really dark. We get these temporary battery operated fluoresant lamps for this outage but sometimes the battery gets weak and they can be quite costly. The only thing I can think of now is to propose the maintenance people to fit a generator or something. At least once there is a power outage, the spare backup generator gets the place lit-up in seconds instead of us fumbling in the almost dark corners looking for our battery torches. A friend showed me a catalog, surprising it has heavyweight products like honda generators lawn mowers, engines, water pumps, water pumps and more. And of course the one product that I’m much more familiar about from this quality brand, the Honda motorcycles!

jMy sister is going on a ski holiday in Korea. How wonderful. I haven’t been to any ski holidays before. She has been there before on a shopping holiday and extended to a ski excursion at that time. She told me this time she is all prepared for this ski trip and she has gotten everything she needed from the ski gears to that julbo sunglasses she always wanted. I bet she looks cool in them. She promised to send me pictures on the trip. She probably can handle cold better because I prefer a sunny day compared to cool days. My bones ache when it is cold but I feel better when it is a warm day. Do you like a cool or a sunny day?

The construction outside my workplace is terrible. There are so much digging and piling work and it is making me sick with all that dust and noise. I really feel for the people who works in the construction industry because of the health risks like Mesothelioma from too much exposure from Asbestos based product. Yet the people who are in this line of work mostly smoke and this just increase their risk to other health factor like lung cancer and skin diseases. Why don’t authorities set a healthy guidelines for workers? Do they get a good health insurance or they are considered high health risk persons that cannot be insured for any kind of loss? They do not wear masks although the safety helmets are compulsory. I think the air they breathe is very bad so masks should also be part of their compulsory gears, don’t you think so?

Have you gotten your goodies for Christmas? Anyone roasting a turkey? This year, we are not going to roast one but order one instead. I’m already tired out from all that spring cleaning. We always get too much food during Christmas and more leftovers. I bet I will add on a good 3kgs at least once Christmas is over! How dreadful if I can’t lose it within a month or few months later. And can you imagine that if you put on 3 kg each Christmas, 3 kg each Lunar New Year and 2kgs the rest of the year, you will be putting on 8kgs per year and that works out to 40kgs in 5 years. Well, that is if you DON’T DO ANYTHING about it! Sounds scary, right? I think I better check out that Lipofuze first before I balloon up to someone beyond recognition in 5 years time!

Everyone wants to have extra money. There are many ways to earn your extra income, and in the recent months, I know of many friends who have decided to turn to the internet to start doing online business on products like clothes, home products, baby products and even trendy cosmetics. Some of the friends I know are very new into internet stuff like those turnkey software or even understand the terms and lingo of the sites and everything online-driven. One friend asked me what is pci compliance hosting so I advised her to check on the internet because many a times, you get very good explaination for so many enquiries. Just in case you didn’t know, it is advisable to look for a host company that can offer you and your customers the security and reliabilty on shopping online and paying via credit or debit systems. That is why getting a host that is PCI compliance is most important.

I am tempted to change the queen sized mattress at home. I have had it for almost 15 years and I had brought it along with me in the last 3 homes I moved during that time. Lucky for me, I bought a good orthopedic type which has pocketed springs and till now it is still in reasonably good condition and the springs have not lapsed at all. However, seeing the advertisements on the papers, I am tempted to ship my mattress for sale and get a new one instead. I know some brands let you do a trade in your old ones for a spanky new one with a large discount. How nice to imagine sleeping on a fresh new one.. bet as soon as my head touches it, I will just fall asleep immediately!

With Christmas around the corner, gifts are booming up by the dozens in malls and even the local grocers. Some candies are prewrapped for you to buy and save wrapping up hassles. This is the best time for children because they ALWAYS look forward to that Christmas Presents and other goodies. No one gets an earful from their parent and these good vibes actually bounce off each other well. Eat all the candy you want because no one is going to stop you..lol Even the supermarket cashier cum packer tries to wield out her barcode scanner faster than usual to clear the never ending crowd that is building up and queues getting longer and longer.
Lucky for me, I like to do my Christmas shopping early so I don’t have to rush like a headless chicken like I once did in early 90s just to get last minute gifts before the stores close early on Christmas Eve!

I have lots of family photos developed from negatives years ago. Not digital files. I do not have a scanner now but had a flatbed one more than a decade ago. Now it seemed so silly to use a flatbed scanner because many people owns the type that can scan and auto convert it into a jpeg file for you. It is more useful and you don’t need resave it using the scanner software to save it into a digital file. I do want to own one because sometimes the banks asks documents like our IDs, statements and etc. With the jpg file, one just need to attach it via email and it makes everything so much easier. No need to wait on the other end for it to be faxed and hear that irritating screeching faxing sound anymore.

Yeah right.. Of course I want to have a Merry and Happy one. But firstly, I’m exhausted. Age and work is tiring me down. So what am I going to do. I need to work on Christmas because this is the time when most business is better. A friend asked what I’d like before Christmas.. and I told her, CASH would be nice..hahahahaha No, I’m not joking. Otherwise why are we working so hard? For Cold Hard Cash so that we could buy something nice in return. SO! Perhaps Santa can just grant me a wish this year like all the kids getting a wish and getting it for real! Give me CASH. How about a strike of Lottery? At least when I get my cash, I can get myself a holiday like staying in some nice luxury new york city hotels for a good two weeks in a row. Oh and make that wish come true, will you Santa? I’ve been real good this year!! *evil smile*
