Exhausted

Posted by spymama on Oct-27-2010

Lethargy means I have too much carbo in my diet. This is usually felt when I’ve had too much rice or carbo foods like bread, chips and basically ate too much. I once tried to fast for the day but then it is not easy. The more I try to cut down on food, the more I want to eat. And each time I sit down to eat something, I’d be terribly busy and bogged down with work… A friend recommended me to detoxify by taking some colon cleansing pills, saying that these stuff works for her well. Perhaps I should give it a try because all I feel lately is so exhausted, even after waking up in the mornings and my eyelids are just dropping off. What is embarrasing is that I get so tired just climbing down a flight of stairs!

And the thought of joining one of those briskwalking club scares me a little.. what if I get so out of breath and I’d not even started more than 100 metres! Better start doing something..

Tea and it’s good properties

Posted by spymama on Oct-27-2010

The chinese believe that tea is one of the best beverage to cool one’s body system, cleanse oil, toxic, antioxidant and most of all it also acts as a safe fat burners of all time. It is natural and stores for years and does not need a doctor’s consultation in consumption. One can drink to quench thirst and many Chinese believes in chinese tea as a cooling beverage that helps to dispel heat and detoxify our body and rid of toxins. The English drinks it in flavours and herbals like Cammomile, Earl Grey and in different intensity. The Chinese has the Jasmines, Oolong, Tikuanyin, Chrysanthemum, etc while the Japanese also has their all time famous Green tea that is refreshing drunk hot or cold. I, myself enjoy drinking the English, Chinese version and also not to forget the Indian version of Teh Tarik. I like mine with creamer and a little sugar. But the Indian type is really wonderful if it is done the Teh Halia style, which is strong tea with milk and pulled to create a nice frothy tea.

It’s Not Easy To Run A Business Anymore

Posted by spymama on Oct-27-2010

It is hard to operate a spa and massage or wellness centre lately. Many of these business had closed down lately. Some of them just couldn’t cover their high operating costs and many customers who had signed up for packages that run into thousands of dollars find themselves lost without any sense of security if they could claim their remaining package cost they have paid up. I know of a friend who paid so much to get facial and acne treatments are now being directed to other clinics but they do not have the same type of treatments she had opted for in the one that had closed down.

What has happened to business lately? Private schools and spa clinics closed. Businesses are so hard to run that it is certainly much better being employed. High rental and operating costs can eat up one’s business forcing one to close immaturely than to watch the company stay in the red, chalking up more debts…

Pink Month

Posted by spymama on Oct-27-2010

It is the breast cancer month. Many organisations and companies are doing some deed by selling some kind of souveniour of some sort or pin to support a breast cancer awareness month. I was among those who’d buy a pin whereever I go so I have a big big collection. Even computers have special pink editions dedicated to this awareness. You can even find Pro flowers coupons and send Pink flower collection to your love ones on their special occasion or why not just send them flowers even if it is not their birthday. Sometimes we need a little love going around and to be reminded of the human touch. Have you done something yet? Don’t wait, you love ones deserve the attention.

Home Remedy

Posted by spymama on Oct-19-2010

I’ve had one too many heaty food again. And this time I am trying hard to ‘clear’ them all by changing to a new moisturiser. I hardly have enough time daily for a full face regimen or I may miss it sometimes. So I bought a 3-in-1 kind of moisturiser cleaner that also tones our skin. Not sure if it will work but at least I know I won’t miss out the basic facial cleaning part which I am so particular about. I wonder if I can make my own home remedy acne solution so that I don’t have to spend loads of money and time looking for the right one in pharmacies and local stores. Can we use some fruit or will the enzyme be too acidic for our skin?

Big Belly Dance

Posted by spymama on Oct-19-2010

The local community centre had just launched it’s official opening last month. With that, many activities have been planned and many more people are expected to join as many new classes are starting. I’ve wanted to take some flower arranging course for the longest time and I think there may be a new intake soon. I hope it is for beginners. The other class that I am still considering is that… cool belly dancing class but it says it is for intermediate students… gosh are they considered beginners then? I am sure this type of dance cum exercise would be a good way for those who wants to find out how to get rid of belly fat fast, don’t you think so? Lots of excersice in your waist area will be good including keeping one fit too. Any one whom may have done this before, I wonder?

Cigars smell wonderful, actually.

Posted by spymama on Oct-14-2010

I was having coffee with a friend the other day. Halfway through our chats, I thought I smelt something rich, smokey and delicious, as a matter of fact. Oh when I turned around to the table just behind me, I noticed a man enjoying a cigar and a coffee.. wow, I had not really seen people smoking cigars for a long time. Every corner you turn at the smoking areas, you see long slim or menthol looking cigarettes. And if you patronize coffeeshops in the neighbourhood, you can’t help but notice that many are now ‘rolling’ and ‘wrapping’ up their own smokes… Gosh, the price for cigarettes and taxes have really soared in Singapore, so much that one can’t afford to buy a hardpack now. And it is really a welcome sight with someone on cigars instead of cigarettes.. something masculine, something very earthly..

Term life insurance does get cheaper with age

Posted by spymama on Oct-6-2010

Has the economy picked up yet? Why is US currency not picking up.. The Sg dollar is a little somewhat stronger but still if other bigger countries do not pick up, it still affects us here. Many friends I know have given up on insurance because they have lost confidence. Some of these insurance are linked to investment related and investing products are not going very well, with people adopting a wait and see and be safe approach. I, for one had my insurance on a holiday programme. I had wanted to pull out from mine, actually. I browze through many insurance sites to see how insurance work if I were to convert or get a term life insurance instead. Wholesale Insurance is one site that actually a good example for information and more. Here you can find out why term rates are cheaper when one gets older! So, this is a choice we can make, an alternative for us and not have to worry about costly policies when you get older.

Depression and Suicide

Posted by spymama on Oct-6-2010

In the local Singapore papers last week, there has been some deaths. Deaths associated with financial instability. A father and son had died on two different locations on the same day, hours from each other. The father was said to have suffered from depression and he and the son is very close, the latter mentally handicapped.

Another case was also a men who was financially troubled, owing banks, creditors and loan sharks that he decided to take his life commiting suicide. Apparently he used to own business, properties and when his business soured and no end to his financial troubles, it seems that this is the only road left.. is this the only path for humans when faced with money blues? Money seems to be the root to all evil, don’t you think so.

How sad when one takes their own live. I wonder when one is financially strapped, do the banks actually listen or do they just try, by all means to get their money from the debtors? This is very serious because when one is really down, and if the banks do not give time, it becomes a depressing problem. When one loses a job, or has lost money, there is nothing one can do in very short time, except to work and make ends meet. Creditors should try to put themselves in the victims’ shoes because they would not be able to cough up such a large amount of money at very short time when they do not have a job or has no money, don’t you think so? And if creditors give ample time, then at least the problem won’t be too depressing and one does not have to think that there is no way out and death becomes the only path to solving a problem.

Do we have a non profit organization that actually helps those who is facing depression, like a depression treatment programme to assist those in this situation? Then again, when one is depressed, he or she may not want to reach out or be reached out.

I certainly hope this will not go unnoticed too long because when the economy goes down, creditors get active and people get depressed. Jobs do not give you tens and thousands of dollars at one go so I do hope banks will work out some time, otherwise we shall be seeing too many depression and deaths associated with financial instability.

Mars and Venus

Posted by spymama on Oct-6-2010

Men are from Mars and Women from Venus. I’ve heard that many a times, of course. In the professional working world, the women wants to be of equal standing with the men, in terms of status, positions and more. However, as a women we are also a more emotional creature on earth, we carry physically more burdens (when pregnant) and we are also a little more vocal (in general). Then men.. ahem.. like to think that we nag just because we love to mention or say things twice, three times or even more. Then again, men can never be equals to women because their listening comphrehension sometimes fails, hence the women nags..

Physically built, the men are more masculine, stronger and bigger of course. The women, though feminine are also stronger but in their mind, their threshold to pain, patience and others a little higher. They also tend to absorb water more.. (LOL) thus water retention happens so often in women in premenstrual symtoms and pregnancy, nevertheless. Supplements are also divided into men and women.. perhaps that is why we need different minerals, vitamins from the men. But are there such things as diet pills for women because most of the time, products like these don’t specify. Some of these diet supplements cause some water retention so those men who also consumes such products, do they get water retention then? Just something to ponder about… Perhaps my hormones are working overtime because what a post this is..
