Nothing is Impossible
I enjoy going to the local mom and pop shop near my home. They are a small little air-conditioned provision shop selling anything and everything under the sun. I would go there for my odd papers, an ice lolly to cool myself in the hot sun, stamps to send my greeting cards, bread for morning breaky and a chat or two with the old man boss when I walk past. He works in an odd slow-mo manner patiently but it’s fine with me. I once asked if he has plans to upgrade his very very old and dated cash register to something else and I was surprised that he even showed me a brochure on a particular model - epson tm-t88iv, something he already has a keen eye on. I was impressed that he even went on to explain how such point of sale system can help him cut down on lengthy and manual work. It is not everyday you get to hear how an elderly is not afraid to upgrade, learn and pick up new skills involving latest technology systems. I applaud his positiveness despite his age and told him I will come visit him more often to spur myself learning new things everyday too. Oh, did I forget to mention that he uses a smartphone too!
