I am so disappointed. The furniture shop at Great World City which I loved to shop at had been closed. Barang-Barang, as they call it, seemed to have gone for liquidation by creditors and banks recently. I just couldn’t accept that because their furnitures are all so nice. I didn’t have the chance to go for the liquidation sale although I wanted to so bad. If I had the chance, I’d have picked up some nicepieces of rustic furniture for my home collection. There used to be some furniture shops in Stamford House years back but seemed like all these niche shops are all closing down.. Is it the economy that is affecting them? High cost from operating expenditures, including high rent? Sigh.. where can I get nice furnitures like that without going to Ikea and have my home looking like a kid’s playground like everyone elses’?
