Did you all read about it? Universal Studios is opening soon just before Chinese New Year! Resort World is going to be interesting! I’m going to be there definitely! I have made a date with Spypapa that we have to go since we aren’t really doing or visiting much this New Year.. I hope it is good as those themeparks in the states. I love theme parks and I was already browzing for Toronto hotels before I found the news that Sentosa’s Resort World! The casino will also be opened but how many stingy Singaporeans are willing to pay up a sum of money to enter? Gamblers do not really bother about the pocket change amount but I am worried about the smaller budget gamblers because they may not be able to accept some regulations.. Then again, Sentosa will be booming!
I wonder how much will the entrance fee be?

The weather is so hot lately. It’s not the right time to do spring cleaning, for goodness sake! You get so hot, sweaty before you can even get started! And that darn vaccumm is so heavy! If only I had not insist on getting this bulky wet and dry Vax… sigh.. It was a white elephant in the cupboard, next to the electric blanket in a vaccumm bag.. Crazy me.. why did I buy an electric blanket when Singapore weather is so hot and humid! But I do so absolutely love the pattern and design.. Gosh I really have to tie up my hands when I go shopping.. Do they have anti-shopping therapy I wonder..
Hey, did I just heard the thunder or is it my stomach?

My sister travels quite a bit. Each time she travels she gets a headache with baggage and is always worried that they get lost during transit between airports. I told her that she can always apply to get one of those annual travel insurance. I think having one annually is much better than the one off because she just need to take off at short notice and may not have time to apply for the insurance she normally buys with her air tickets. Anyways, I have to admit that the reason I say this is because I do not want her to lose that Prada bag and lovely scarfs she got me the other time… Hey Sis, are you reading this or not? When are you gonna travel to Dubai? *hint hint* remember that lovely watch I showed you on the magazine? LOL

Each day when I click on the IE software on my laptop, I always get a yahoo homepage. There’s updated news most of the time, right up to the last minutes but there are days when I find the news not much different from the day’s before.
So who is hot in the news lately? Anwar Ibrahim? Malaysia’s aide? Singapore Airshow or even Ng Teng Fong? I am not sure why and if I’d met someone by the name of richard willich
before but why is his name such a memorable name?

I am not in favour of February because it is a short month. This February’s Valentine falls on the first day of Chinese New Year too. How does that affect couples and families? Time to bring your dates home to show mom and dad? How to tear away from that family gathering and have a romantic night with your boy/girlfriend or partner? Not too sure how they handle it but right after the Chinese New Year and spending on all that shopping, grub and red packets, I probably have to set aside some money for my life insurance, car road tax kids’ new school term fees and even more bills! I wonder how that will leave me.. big hole in my pocket on both, I guess! I’m wishing I’m just a teenager now and getting red packets instead!

I can’t help looking in at the interior design shop in IMM each time I passes by. Not only is their seawater aquarium interesting, their kitchen show area is also just fabulous. I always wanted to have a very industrial looking kitchen but due to limited resource, I just renovated some important stuffs. I think having a large area of stainless steel tile will make a kitchen very much like one in the restaurant/banquet kitchen. Steel colours are just so trendy and modern! I can always add colour dashes and display items like flowers and plants. My best friend commented that she can’t stand such kitchen at all. She said she is the sort that prefers a less glamorous kitchen and very muted colours and simple kitchens.

If you had been doing spring cleaning, then you probably must be stressed out.. it’s about two weeks to Lunar New Year. I hardly have time to do my weekly cleaning so what is going to happen to ’spring cleaning’ then? Double stress for me! I remember how when I was young and my mom would just put everything she doesn’t need at home on the garage floor. That meant the car gets no home until the piling gets cleared. Well, even the carton drinks are on the garage floor so we just pop by the garage from the kitchen back door to get our bottles of Soda Pop! And I’m pretty sure, we should have just change the use of the garage to store room instead!

I have been browsing the papers in double quick time lately instead of reading them. I hardly have time for the weekend’s papers. They are so thick so I only got to go through the front pages and some parts of the Home section. Actually, what I love to do most is to hunt for daily deals and promotions from the supermarkets as well as special deals from the budget airways.. I also love to look at handphones and telco packages on promotion! I find them irresistable and great for the end user or consumer’s market. The local supermarts like NTUC gives good price for some highly recommended products. Sometimes you get the same product but a competitive pricing from NTUC competing with Shop and Save and Sheng Shiong or even Giant matching Carrefour’s hypermarts.
The best part lately is that there is an abundance of fruits on promotion and I am such a big fruit fan! Mangoes, Oranges, Mandarins, Rock Melons, Fuji Apples, Grapes and even I can see Durians now.. wow! I am so excited already!
