Brainstorming

Posted by spymama on Feb-19-2010

Spypapa and I have been cracking our brains thinking about small business retail. He suggested that we go to other countries and shop and bring over to sell in a small little kiosk in the mall. Actually, I find this a big challenge because we do not have much time nor do we travel alot anyway. One way is of course to always surf the internet to look for new items but it’s not everyday you can find new niche items available unless it has been in the market, thus it is advertised widely. The other option is to offer services like IT computing (not my field), design services for the local market, clothes (but many are already in this industry…) or food items.. hmmm we do need proper and official channel for food, label and nutrition lab tests.. thus abit troublesome. Not sure why but whenever I browsed for some food items or fengshui or zen products, I always get unfiltered products like zencore and even that blue pill for men… is there a filter that I can use not to show up some things I don’t want shows up?

Going thru some bad time

Posted by spymama on Feb-16-2010

I dropped by my friend’s home on the second day of Chinese New Year. I wanted to pass her some pineapple tarts as she had been staying at home for a while and not wanting to go out. I sympathize with her as she is still nursing a broken heart. Chinese New Year is something she avoids, Valentine is another that is too painful to bring up. Currently she is undergoing treatment for depression. All she wants is a peace of mind, and I try to check in on her once or twice a week bringing food supplies to make sure she eats. What can one do to help a broken heart? Not much but time as the healing factor. I know because I once was in depression before and it took me almost a year to get out of it. But connections to the social world mustn’t be totally cut off. Minimal but keeping up with closed friends would do good for her. She can be kept preoccupied with some activity or simple work so that she will be void of thinking too much of negative things.

Moonfaced

I had the shock of my life when I looked in the mirror this morning when I was going to brush my teeth! I have acne problem.. these tiny sized pimples are breaking out on my cheeks and all over my face! Aaaarrrgghhhhh! Help! I know what the problem is. I had been gorging too much on peanut cookies and pineapple tarts this Chinese New Year holidays. Two days is all it took me. Not to mention, ‘heat induced’ cashew nuts and pistachios too… sigh I hadn’t had these yummy treats for months so all these consumption has taken a toll on my skin… oh dear… guess I must be really shop for some adult acne treatment if I want my skin back to normal. I have an evening party coming up this Saturday by some friends so a bad skin will just be no good at all…

Bubble Event

Posted by spymama on Feb-16-2010

I had the chance to catch a bubble event at the end of last year during the holidays. I was in the north-west shopping when they announced on the PA system that a bubble event was going to start. I took the lift and went up immediately to see what it was all about. What a pleasant surprise I managed to catch the Internationally Acclaimed Bubble Artist Deni Yang blowing some giant sized bubbles and tricks with the bubbles. I managed to take some interesting shots of him asking a child volunteer up on to the stage.

Photobucket

Look at the shot that I captured. He used a gigantic bubble mould-stick to create a giant bubble and ‘fanned’ it down to cover the child! It’s superb! If he ever went to your town for an event like this, I’d recommend you to watch it. I’m lucky that this was a show sponsored by the Capitaland Mall and so we get to watch it free! The kids who volunteered got a large sized bubble bottle for free! If they’d asked for adults, trust me.. I’d be the first to wave my hand up high!!! LOL I am still a kid at heart, you know?

Bring out the Broom

Posted by spymama on Feb-12-2010

I dropped by a friend’s office on Friday last week. She was busy repainting the office with the rest of the colleagues as part of spring cleaning week. While I was there, I was asked to pick a nice colour of roller shades from their catalogue. Had a few options but ended up I chose one that is lower in budget as they have already been cutting costs last year so I believe expensive ones are out. How I wish I can change my curtains at home too. I’ve only got two sets so a third set is necessarry , I gather.

Perhaps next year during spring cleaning week? Hopefully can get some done real soon.

What is in a Name

Posted by spymama on Feb-12-2010

I read that you can get rid of all your extra fats through liposuction. For one thing, I think I wouldn’t want to mess my body with something like that. Then a few friends were chatting away from lipozene became part of the conversation. They were talking about lipozene but since I was briefly away from the table, I miss the part when my friend explained what it was about. I am curious about how this word came about.. Lipo. What is the meaning of it? Now everyone wants to use the word but not sure if they understand the real meaning of it. A building where I used to work was called Lipo too. Is the name Lipo a name or just a company I wonder

Breakout Anyone

Posted by spymama on Feb-12-2010

If you had been reading the previous post, you would have read that I am gaining weight like a speeding bullet.. (okay I am exaggerating but the part about gaining weight is true). I can’t help buying that big bar of Lindt chocolate bar because they are on big big offer promotional price. I love the dark chocolate ones most especially. Besides putting on extra weight eating chocolates, I am just totally irritated that one could still be getting breakout easily than puberty years. Is this what they call an adult acne? I don’t know if it was meant to describe older people having acne or a description about an acne when it is ripe to be pressed on? Oh dear..

Got to Lose It Fast

Posted by spymama on Feb-12-2010

Lunar New Year is just around the corner. God knows how much I’ve been snacking in the past two weeks! And I’ve almost finished that big container of Love Letters my friend made specially for me too. I am sure before the Lunar New Year is up I would have to look for a quick trim fast cleanse product as I think my waistline will be building up thick and fast pretty soon.. There’s so much good food going around when you do your Chinese New Year visitations. How can I lose my bulging waist asap? I should have gotten a size bigger when I bought my new clothes! I really cant be adding more inches yearly when I have not lost the previous years yet… oh so stressful already..

Expanding

Posted by spymama on Feb-12-2010

Some of my friends make some pocket money online by selling things like clothes, accessories and even household items. Some of them need to advertise on other websites to get people around the world to know their products and some do pay quite a bit of advertising fee for it. But did you know that if you do a search on free directory submission, there are sites that let you advertise your little online business for free. For new online shops, it is best to try this out to kickstart your business and expand your business publicity around a bit. Besides business, there are sites that provide educational value and information that can gain exposure through these submission.

Can’t Decide, as usual

Posted by spymama on Feb-11-2010

I just came back from Watsons an hour ago. I had wanted to get myself some glucosamine for my aching joints… but then again and again i come back with nothing in hand. That is because I am allergic to all kinds of sulphur based stuff so sulphate in glucosamine is totally out… so what can I do now. I want to try to see if it works but I guess I can’t now.. Ended up I went to the beauty creams and found a shelf full of eye treatment gels lotions… I just couldn’t make up my mind which ones to get that is effective.. all the product claimed to be the best under eye creams on the shelf. I really got to do something.. can’t decide and came back empty handed again! bah..

Perhaps I should bring a friend when I shop there next time…
