The best centre

Posted by spymama on Jan-19-2010

I can’t help noticing all that slimming centre advertisements in the newspaper lately.. Boy, they sure do find creative ways to get the consumers to try their trial for free or special price. Such ads are very, very competitive like claiming who has the fastest way to burn fat! I had a very quick browze in the papers this morning. I couldn’t help noticing that there was one particular ad that even cajoled readers to take part in a contest. All you need to do is to sms answers of a lady (guessing her bra size) in multiple choice answers! Wooo Hooo… I wonder if they will take advantage of the handphone numbers and try to make cold calls to the ones who sms? I’d cancell their calls without even batting an eyelid…

Chocolate Fix

Posted by spymama on Jan-19-2010

I was craving for chocolates more than a week ago. Not just any chocolates but it has got to be dark, intense and must have roast almonds or cashews in it. I saw some by Cadbury, Tudor Gold and even looked at Hersheys little dark chocolate kisses. They either come in milk chocolate, only dark chocolate or dark with no nuts.. That made me craving even more.. mad-crazy-craving kind of mood. In the end, I bought one by Van Houten, which had what I wanted, Dark with Roast Almonds. The only thing was, I wished they were Lindt brands because I just love their bittersweet chocs. Before I even got into the car, I was already peeling open the wrapper and pop one into my mouth.. Aaaah.. that was heaven, almost. I’m sure, very sure I’d be searching for the best acne treatments after the big bar but s what, I needed my fix there and then… Did you ever felt like that?

Acne and Confidence

Posted by spymama on Jan-17-2010

I bumped into an old friend. He was with his girlfriend.. WOW I thought. He looks pretty good. Why? He is actually an average looking fella but he used to have a bad skin breakout then. He tried all sorts of creams and went to the best doctor that prescribed him some skin antibiotics and more. He was actually diagnosed with a nodular acne, a very severe form of acne, usually happens in teens at puberty. He had a bad skin for a long time and for years, he always had this inferiority complex because he was very conscious of himself. But now, he seemed to have had it cured and he looks really good and confident of himself too. I am happy for him but I didn’t mention nor asked him where he went for the ‘cure’ since it may not be too nice to bring it up. Guess some people I know are already blessed with good skin.. I get my breakouts too, depending on my diet… hehehe

Crowning No Glory..

Posted by spymama on Jan-17-2010

Okay, I know I fret a lot lately. Everything from dark circles to weight issues… Can’t help it.. Age is getting to me. Another problem that I want to get rid is.. or get back my hair!!! What do I mean? Well, whenever I rinse my hair after a shampoo, I see my crowning glory (no longer..sigh) at the little filter on the bathroom floor.. ooohh that pains my heart! I can’t bear to see so much on the floor. Worst is when I try to brush it out after I dry it and it is still damp, the hairs that my hair brush collects is just SCARY! Too scary.. worst that nightmare on Halloween night! Perhaps I can surf to find some hair loss vitamins to get some of my hair back or some new hair grown before the light shines on my head like a reflection… aaarrrghhh… I am really scaring myself silly now..

Panda Eyes Won’t Go Away

Posted by spymama on Jan-17-2010

I’ve been invited to a birthday bash, again.. This friend of mine is having the celebration of a lifetime and splurging it out at a 6 star hotel.. And she is inviting all her friends, family and colleagues.. I am somewhere between friend and ex colleagues.. The thing is… sigh.. I have not been sleeping well. I probably may need to find the best eye cream for dark circles if I am going to attend this party. I think my panda eye is getting to be more obvious lately.. That’s because I still try to get some reading done before I sleep and I get up very early in the morning! How? Anyone knows of a good brand that works in two weeks? Otherwise, I have to really plaster myself with the most opaque foundation before I go. But, I want to go there ‘au-naturel’.. can?

Haiti needs Help, FAST

I’ve been following up on the poor victims on Haiti. It is sad that it happened at a place like this whereby there are already so much poverty around. I wonder if there is a real reason to all this. I sure hope help is being rendered as soon as possible. It is disheartening to listen to the radio on BBC this morning that there is so much red tape in getting the food, water and medical supplies to them.. imagine, if a reporter can reach them for interview, what is going on and why can’t food be made ready to be delivered at all? I mean, don’t they see the urgency in these people who are dying without neccessities? Such delay only prompt violence and looters.. I feel so sad this had to happen. A photo taken on a looter stealing the only casket from the dead man is just too shocking!

Can’t Find Them Again

Posted by spymama on Jan-15-2010

As usual, I cannot find my stationery in my drawers!! Aaarrgh! So irritating. And because I keep putting off looking for one, I think lots of stuff are piling up. Stuff that I want to do, write or mark but I can’t find any pencils nor ball point pens. I think what I should do is to buy a whole carton of those promotional pencils, to cut cost and then LOCK them up in my steel cabinet! That should do the trick. Or I can always dangle ‘buckaroos’ and say for every returned pencil, get a dollar! You think monetary gains work better? I’ve tried that for my children for housework but not for the pencils yet…hehehe I should have a poster too. A photo of my pencils and a reward amount for the wanted product, eh.

Leave Your Wallet Behind

Posted by spymama on Jan-15-2010

Did anyone go for any holiday during December month? I was tempted to but I had loads of work. My friend dropped me this holiday catalog that had various of travel packages inclusive some all inclusive resorts. Such packages are cool because you don’t have to fret about paying for extra stuff once you are there. Just kick of your shoes and enjoy your summer holiday! This way, you don’t really need to bring any money nor worry if there is a money changer at the resort hotel either. Perhaps I can look it up again in the next holiday in June or September? Few on my mind.. like Banyan Tree and Club Med. Which is better? Any ideas for a little old lady?

Always find out

Posted by spymama on Jan-3-2010

A year ago, a friend of mine offered to buy me something that can help to block off excess fat from our body. I tried many different brands before and some of them gave me a terrible headache. I wasn’t sure why but my friend told me perhaps those I took also blocked off sugar or something causing my body to react to low sugar, especially in the mornings when I need energy most. All those supplements that I took for years never really take off because I always quit by the third day after some kind of reaction. None of the popular diet programs work for me. My friend said she would never ever go for real dieting like going off food or limited intake because she enjoys food too much so one that blocks off fat works for her. After much persuasion, I started to do a little research about many different types of weight control supplements. Among them, Xenical and what more, I also found out that Alli is very much the same as Xenical - which is something my friend told me about a year ago but it is not available over the counter but with doctor’s prescription. The thing is, I found out that in some countries, Alli can be bought over the counter. So, before anyone go out to buy, it is always wise to read about alli reviews since there may be different or adverse reactions to all individuals. Like all medicine, best to consult your local GP if unsure. Many types of medication may also carry the same composition but has different names. Wonder how many other similar types there are in the market?
