I can’t help laughing out loud when I spotted this signage recently at the carpark.. Apparently some kind soul wanted to warn drivers not to reverse too much and cause damage to the car.. But the English grammer or words he or she used were a little hilarious.. I sure hope Singapore hurry up and help the people to improve the English Language ASAP! I remember reading about Speak Good English campaign but how long ago was that? And perhaps also help people like me to improve my Mandarin too! Hopefully it will not be something expensive.. Anyone can help me explain the chinese words word for word for me?

I read recently that property taxes will be increased in the new year.. How sad and it will surely burn the hole bigger in my shallow pocket. Besides the increased petrol, grocery goods and many more other stuff, the last thing I really want is this extra money to spent on property tax.. guess I cannot complain too much since other countries may impose higher bills than in Singapore, eh. Nowadays I heard that Build-to-order flats are popular with the young and old alike. I wonder what kind of order fulfillment do they need to fill up? Of course the paper reads that it is just impossible to ask for only high level flats and apartments since you can’t really build them only from certain levels… Someone need to buy the lower level flats too, right? Guess they can always choose resale flats instead of from newspaers alone..
