My home has many mismatched pieces of furniture. That’s because I’ve moved twice in the last decade and I bring with me some nice furniture that I still love to use, and they are still in good condition. I know they aren’t called modern furniture because they have some intricate carvings, just like the type my grandma used to have. Perhaps when the life span of these furniture is up, I should get some simple looking furniture. I am not one who loves all the decors and etc. All I want is a place where things are kept neatly. Now I have many filled cupboard spaces that I’ve started to keep some stuff in boxes! Oh and I also need to get a wireless remote entrance bell too.

As much as how hard I try, i still surf and check up on those sites that about successful people that managed to lose their weight and find out about many ingredients and products that can be used. Internet gets me closer to research actually. Without the internet, I’d have spend more time out of home at pharmacies and drugstores that sells comestic and facial products, and weight loss pills too. And that Face Spa I went to? Their neighbour is a Slimming Centre! Now I’m all ruined for life.. Should I even step foot in there to enquire?

My friend popped by my home yesterday. She pops by once her month whenever she goes for her acne treatments at her local beautician she patronized for the last five years. She tried so many types of creams and even seen the skin clinic and been offered supplements orally. It didn’t help but her visit to this Face Spa, as it is called works for her. I can see the improvement she had received and so, she now goes there for her monthly treatment and rejuvenation. I meant to ask her about wrinkle treatments and perhaps make an appointment when she next go again.. And while at it, I try not to look into that slimming section.. LOL

They say, Diamonds are Women’s Best Friends. How true, for me - that is… I am a fan of diamonds. Perhaps it is the glitter or perhaps it is the beautiful cuts of the white crystal-like gem stone. Too bad the cost is not within my budget. I can afford fake diamonds. Otherwise, I’d be collecting real ones like a hobby. I do not like ornate nor gold products but diamonds are just spectacular. I thought about getting loose diamonds from the diamond factories and have them designed into a nice set of jewellery set for myself.. Right now, I can only window shopped and get free visuals than to have one nice solo ring..

I’ve always wanted to visit Disneyland but I never got the chance to. That was my childhood dream that had never been fulfilled. Now that there are so many theme parks nearby, the passion to go to Disneyland has grown lesser. Hong Kong has one and is considered as the nearest of the many Disneyland Theme Parks nearest to Singapore. It is newer, of course. But if I do go to one (if I ever did) would be to go to one in Orlando. There are many sites that offer orlando vacations online as well as many offered in the newspapers recently. I am still thinking if I should get a break and take off on a holiday? The only downside to Theme Parks… I won’t be able to stomach the rides anymore…

I read about a mom who started a trust fund for her kid who has autism. She worries about her because what if money left to some relatives for the care of her daughter should something happened, be squandered away just like that. I think anyone can start a trust fund for their children but I also read that it is also similar to a social security disability insurance. The only difference is that the latter is more for your own, a benefit of your own. This will help in terms of Medicare and other needs such as a protected retirement fund, medical benefits and even dependant benefits. Perhaps that would be a great choice for all of us too. I do wonder what is the age limit for such a policy.. Maybe I can get a free evaluation first..

When I bought this little home of mine, a bath near the kitchen had been converted into a little store room. Originally it was a small bathroom which I later convert it back into. I needed to have a common bathroom downstair just in case I have guests and they need to use it. It is not practical to let them use the toilet upstairs and we do want our privacy. It didn’t matter even if the bathroom is a little smaller but I can also use it to do some simple handwash as well as some good old brushing down for rugs and school shoes. I instaled a very small basin for hand washing so that the bath is not too congested. But last week alone, while shopping for a stone sinks, I thought about converting back to a store room.. Perhaps I have been accumulating too much stuff! Should I or shouldn’t I.. Any one need extra kids’ stuff?

My relationship with Perp went back to a 20 year affair, travelling, mostly for leisure. Perp, mind you is my purple coloured luggage that I got from an annual dinner lucky draw while at work. I didn’t attend the dinner but a colleague of mine picked my name out for me. Everyone gets a gift for annual dinner and that was what I got. I named her Perp and she has been with me for the past two decades, holding on strong still. But in March this year, I found her to be a little wobbly at the wheels, which is really worn out from all that heavy stuff I bring with me each time I travel back home. Spypapa told me that Perp is looking really worn out and pathetic and has picked out a nice Eagle Creek luggage for me. He said he will pay for me and said perhaps I should learn to let go and put Perp away for good… sigh. As much as I will get my new luggage, I think I am just too sentimental to throw Perp away.. There’s so much history with every scratch and bump, stickers and wobbly wheels. Perhaps I might be able to find a dark hidden corner for Perp far away from Spypapa?

I bumped into Susan- my old school mate and complimented her on her new look and slim new body. She also started to doll herself up more and she says she has more confident now when it comes to shopping for new clothes and shoes. I was tempted to ask her how and where did she start her weight loss programme. She scribble something on a piece of paper and pass it on to me. She said I can check this place out from the internet and so I did. All I needed to do was to search weight loss austin and I was surprised to see so many urls that brings me to many types of slimming centers and even towns called austin.. The search was really wide until I found a wellness clinic under Austin that looks really professional with their wide range of wellness programs. I wonder if this is the same one she mentioned.. Maybe I should call her up and check.

I’ve been asked to shop for some Singapore local TV shows by a few friends of mine from Malaysia. Well, although they can find some DVDs of some shows, they do not get the whole range like what you can find in Singapore. I know some even asked me to get authentic Singapore release of The Little Nonya for them. I was trying to look for them at Best but couldn’t find them at all. If I remember correctly, they used to be displayed near the tv stands but now they seemed to have changed the layout. I can’t seemed to find any DVDs nor Videos in the shop now.. I wonder why. Did I miss anything? Frankly, new layouts are such irritating (to me). I can’t seemed to find anything!
