How Things Work? Beats Me!

I stood there about 10 minutes wondering if I should installed that security system on my door. Not that the security at home is compromised but I read about how break-ins are getting more frequent lately. I saw one that is like a cctv where movement activates it. You can fix it on the door or on your window. Spypapa said her friend got a special door lock that only opens by scanning your eye. I am not sure how it works but I wonder if they have those type that scans our fingerprint like a barcode scanner? Then again, that means anyone other than ourselves would be able to enter our home. What if we need to allow friends or other relatives access? Perhaps it works by getting their fingerprint scanned and added into the allowed access entry?

Just wondering…just wondering.

Invited by Hannah Montana

I made such a blunder. Last week, my daughter was invited to a birthday party. Spymama had been pretty busy lately and didn’t really register her friend’s name. Actually I did remember about the name but I had forgotten about it the moment I reached the clubhouse’s multi purpose room where the birthday celebration was. Spykiddo asked, “Mom, you sure you want to meet my friend’s mom?”  I answered, “Of course, at least this is a good chance to know your friends and their parents, right? At the door, I saw the poster and remembered the invite card pretty well.

The door to the party. See, a poster outside.

I walked into the room where some of her friends are… So.. where is Hannah Montana? I asked looking at the young girls all standing in a group. Shoudn’t we wish her a Happy Birthday first? Then the girls burst out laughing!! My daughter, pulled my sleeve and said.. “Mom! Hannah Montana is the character on television!! This is a Hannah Montana theme. Birthday girl is Jenine, not Hannah Montana! And with that the girls laughed… Oh My.. No wonder the name Hannah Montana sounded a little familiar! *scratches head* Aiyoooooooo….

Do you know all the characters or the idols your children likes?

My daughter said afterwards, it would have been even better if there was a real Hannah Montana there… my young dreamer.
